Laporte Indiana Museums
The European-based company celebrated its 100th anniversary of the US Department of Health on Saturday, June 11, 2017.
South of the city, the La Porte River, which the National Weather Service has reported rainfall for the first half of this year ending at 7 a.m. on Saturday, flows south through the city from the southern side of Lake Michigan. The museum incorporates history into its design, with bay windows once found in LaPortes Lonn Block of 1898. On three floors there are over 15 rooms that represent the history of the city from the early years of its development to the present day. Nearby is the W.A. Jones exhibition, which displays nearly 850 antique weapons from around the world as well as pre-Civil War uniforms. When I see the exhibition, the light reminds me of an old, contemporary cinema, like the one in the Natural History Museum of New York City.
The event would become one of the most important in the history of LaPortes and Indiana. The eerie light fills the sky with the sounds of bangs, explosions and the sound of gunshots from the nearby railway tracks.

This museum is an "example" of the traction engines of a steamship built between 1899 and 1922 by various manufacturers such as General Electric, General Motors, Ford and Chrysler.
Porter Locomotive worked at the Indiana Transportation Museum for more than 30 years before returning to the Indiana Transportation Museum in 2015. It reopened in 2019 as the Indiana Transportation Museum and is still in operation.
